We are aware of an email delivery issue affecting the Prometheus hosting server.
Some outbound messages may be delayed or rejected by certain external mail providers due to a temporary mail reputation issue. Our team has identified the likely cause as spam messages being received and then forwarded externally by hosted mail forwarders.
We have implemented additional incoming email filtering and smarter forwarding protection to help prevent spam from being relayed out through the server. These changes are already active, and we are monitoring mail flow closely.
Current actions completed:
- Enabled enhanced incoming email filtering.
- Added improved protection for forwarded spam.
- Cleared stale deferred mail from the server mail queue.
- Confirmed that high-risk forwarded spam is now being rejected before leaving the server.
- Continuing to monitor outbound delivery and mail reputation.
We are working to restore normal email delivery as quickly as possible. Websites, cPanel access, databases, and normal hosting services remain online.
